Miami Dolphins wide receiver raves about Brian Flores

The Miami Dolphins have had, well, a rough couple of decades. They have missed the playoffs in 16 of the last 18 seasons and have finished with a losing record three years in a row. That, however, could change this season.

Indeed, the Dolphins (3-3) have won three of their last four games after an 0-2 start and trail the Buffalo Bills (4-2) by one game in the AFC East. They have won back-to-back games, this after beating the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Jets by a combined 67-17.

Dolphins head coach Brian Flores went 5-11 in his first season in Miami but seems to be remaking the franchise in his image: tough, disciplined, accountable.

“He’s awesome,” Dolphins wide receiver Mack Hollins said on The DA Show. “He’s one of my favorite coaches I’ve played [for]. One thing I’ve always enjoyed about him since I’ve been here is how he keeps everybody accountable. It doesn’t matter if you’re the starting quarterback or you’re  a practice-squad guy. He’ll pull you up on tape and if you’re not practicing at a high level, he’ll show the whole team how you’re not. On the flip side, if you’re doing something really well on the practice squad or as a starter, he’ll pull you up on tape in front of the whole team and congratulate you for the work you’re putting in. So he goes on both sides and holds everybody to the same standard.”

The Dolphins, who have a bye this week, host the Los Angeles Rams (4-2) on Nov. 1. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET.
