Bills quarterback Josh Allen had perhaps his best game of the season Sunday, throwing for 415 yards and accounting for four touchdowns (three pass, one rush) in a 44-34 win over the Seahawks.

Indeed, Allen from struggling against the Jets (0-9) and Patriots (3-5) to . . . out-dueling Russell Wilson?

“That game put him back into the top five for the season in terms of PFF grades,” PFF analyst Sam Monson said on The DA Show. “He had slipped out of that group. He was in there during his incredible run at the start of the year, and then the last few games had dragged his grade down and pulled him away from the very top quarterbacks in the NFL. But he jumped back into that group with that game against Seattle.”

Allen, the seventh overall pick in 2018, led the Bills (7-2) to a 4-0 start this season. They dropped back-to-back games to the Titans and Chiefs in Weeks 5 and 6 but have since won three in a row and have a 1.5-game lead over the Dolphins (5-3) in the AFC East.

Allen is third in the NFL in passing yards (2,587), fifth in passing touchdowns (19) and sixth in QBR (79.3). He is also fifth among quarterbacks in rushing yards (241) and third among quarterbacks in rushing touchdowns (five).

“That ceiling is incredible,” Monson said. “His ability, when he plays at that level, is outstanding. He’s got one of the best arms in the NFL in terms of just pure velocity and arm talent, but he’s also got some accuracy on those intermediate plays in particular. He can rifle the ball into some crazy-tight windows, his athleticism is absurd, he’s got almost Cam Newton-esque physical traits. The size, the speed, the strength to just shuck off would-be tacklers – if he can maintain that level, if he can get back to that level of performance and play there consistently, he’s genuinely one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. His only kind of question at this point is how consistently can he do that?”
